...Fraser is also an imaginative programmer and during that tour he was joined by the renowned pianist Muriel Johnstone and the excellent cellist Ron Shaw.

The concert was essentially a history of Scottish dance music from the 18th century to the present day, all performed with vivid authenticity.

The evening was so outstanding I remember thinking it was a pity it wasn't recorded or filmed..."
